The Staines-upon-Thames Business Improvement District (BID) is controlled by a BID Board that is headed up by Steven Harvey from Oasis Estate Agencies (Chairman), Stephen Gould from The Optical Shop (Vice Chair), Paul Milner from Lewis Furniture (Vice Chair) and a further 12 Board Members. The BID is managed by BID Manager, Michelle Baker and BID Marketing & Events Manager, Ingrid van der Weide. Over the next five years, the Staines-upon-Thames BID will deliver key events, activities and projects against the 5 key themes as set out in the Staines-upon-Thames Business Plan.
The key themes include:
Theme 1 – A well-known town: marketing, promotion and PR
Theme 2 – An eventful town: high quality events to boost trade and footfall
Theme 3 – A safer town, day and night: keeping crime off our streets
Theme 4 – An attractive town: street and parking improvements
Theme 5 – A productive town: business support and lobbying
The business led and business funded organisation will raise an investment pot of £1.6 million to spend on Staines Town Centre over the next five years, raised from a levy of 1.5% of the rateable value of eligible business premises.

Join the BID
All eligible occupiers of a business premises with a rateable value of £12,000 or above in the designated BID Area automatically become members of the BID. Businesses with a rateable value of less than £12,000 and those outside the designated BID Area are invited to become voluntary members and will receive the same benefits as all other BID Members.
